A Review by Stuart Gutteridge 9/5/02
To all intents and purposes Cyber-Hunt is an ersatz Doctor Who story. The central character of The Wanderer, Fred played by Nicholas Briggs is interesting and appealing enough to entertain, but is by no means a replacement "Doctor", despite his similarities to the Davison incarnation. Perhaps unsurprisingly, he is pitted against a race not unlike the Cybermen, complete with voices to match. Best of all is Andrew Fettes Halloran, who eclipses the rest of the cast, although how much of this is due to the script and how much is due to his performance is debatable. If you judge Cyber-Hunt for what it is;a basic reworking of the Cybermen then you have a top BBV audio, despite the sometimes unnecessarily loud sound effects.
