Synopsis: When alien pods land in an English forest, will the Krynoids claim another world, or can medieval might and wisdom triumph? |
A Review by Stuart Gutteridge 17/5/03
The Green Man is frustrating in many ways, whilst it pushes the notion of the Krynoids taking over humans therefore making them suitable for audio (something it succeeds in where as The Root Of All Evil failed), it fails to deliver anything new in terms of plot development. The historical setting works to an extent, and the cast are uniformly excellent with the exception of the variable Keith Drinkel, but it just feels like a series of action pieces. If you`re looking for something slightly mindnumbing, then this is a treat and should be heard as such, but if you want something deeper, look elsewhere.
