A Review by Stuart Gutteridge 23/1/03
The Pattern is a somewhat tame affair compared to BBV`s usual output. Mark Duncan`s script is a relatively straightforward tale made all the better by the character of Logan. Although this is largely due to Susan Travers` portrayal as to why she is so effective. In some ways, she acts like The Doctor, with her (at times) condescending tone and air of superiority. The other notable thing about The Pattern is the background music and sound effects, both of which add to the atmosphere of the tale. Not the best of the bunch from BBV (which might explain why it is frequently overlooked), but certainly entertaining enough.
