Dodo Chaplet Jackie Lane |
A Review by Stuart Gutteridge 30/11/00
Several things stand out about Dodo, the most obvious being her similarities to Susan. She looks like her (despite Jackie Lane being too old to play a teenager convincingly enough) and we don`t know enough of her background, until it is filled in for us in Salvation.
Despite this and her various accents, Dodo is still highly likeable due largely to her optimism, unlike Melanie`s it isn`t overdone like her sense of fashion (which is anything but dull) and her use of English which is both realistic and annoying to The Doctor anyway. And in keeping with her introduction, Dodo left as unexpectedly as she arrived. Apart from anything else she also was independent, refusing to let Steven boss her around. Somewhat underrated methinks.
GREATEST MOMENT: The Gunfighters, where she pulls a gun on Doc Holliday.
