A Review by Stuart Gutteridge 15/8/01

Told very much in the style of a docusoap, which seems to plague British TV these days, An Englishman On Gallifrey follows the exploits of Mark Strickson as he journeys to the Gallifrey 2001 convention. Being someone who is not familiar with American conventions, this proves to something of an eye opener. Strickson`s narration helps, his cynical wit is enjoyable and the plethora of interviewees adds to this. It is rare to see the likes of Bonnie Langford and authors aplenty on the small screen. Fan reaction is equally important to this video, and this is what makes it so enjoyable; as Tom Baker once said "Doctor Who is nothing without the fans."
