Debatable whether or not you class Katarina as a companion, which seems to be the norm. I prefer to think of her as an assistant in the same vein as the UNIT team. The one aspect that stands out about the character of Katarina is the fact that she is from Ancient Troy and views everything with a sense of wide-eyed wonder; like a child almost.

Her beliefs that The Doctor was a god (something carried over from The Myth Makers), that the TARDIS is a temple, and that she has travelled through the underworld are a refreshing take on the role of TARDIS traveller. The only disappointment really is that she was so short-lived; showing a lack of imagination on the part of the writers, and the production team.

GREATEST MOMENT: In her short time, Katarina`s greatest moment has to be her demise; dying to help others live.
