MythMakers 26 Anneke Wills |
A Review by Stuart Gutteridge 14/8/00
"Maybe there's another adventure around the corner,I don`t know... and this is directly because of Doctor Who... it's been part of my life."
If one thing stands out about this tape, it is the fact that it doesn't entirely revolve around Doctor Who. Anneke Wills tends to go off on tangents talking invariably about her various travels or her life as both a mother, wife and as an actress. This makes for fascinating and refreshing viewing, marred only by the irritating music. Accompanying this is the sumptous location work, which takes in various areas of Norfolk, including Anneke's home in the seventies, adding a personal feel to the proceedings. Doctor Who is covered story by story, with various comments on costumes, storylines, co-stars and the general working atmosphere. Overall this Myth Makers is highly enjoyable, because it trys and succeeds at being something different.
