"I loved playing Mike Yates but there were times when I felt the character could go a lot further..."
This Myth Makers starts off with Richard Franklin putting pen to paper, as he is writing The Killing Stone in his then Yorkshire home. Combining two interviews, the most recent being from 1996, this provides an interesting mini-biography of the man behind Mike Yates. Doctor Who is covered at length, including his work on The Five Doctors and Dimensions In Time. There are also anecdotes about his time on the show, such as the family feel of it and the passing away of Jon Pertwee. The trouble is, the interview doesn`t veer away from the series at all, giving an insight into his political views, of which he has many for example. However for fans of the Pertwee era, you can`t go far wrong with this.
