MythMakers 31:
Frazer Hines

Reviews

A Review by Stuart Gutteridge 1/5/01

"I think the Cybermen to me were horrific because there was no emotion at all... like a psychopathic killer who smiles at you and is really thinking I`m going to kill you!"

Frazer Hines is probably best known for his role of Joe Sugden in Emmerdale, but this Myth Makers could be described as a biography of sorts. Not only does it cover Emmerdale and Doctor Who in some depth but also his early career, which included working with the likes of Charlie Chaplin. Equally interesting is Frazer`s love of horses and his stud farm serves as a picturesque backdrop for the tape. Frazer comes across as a warm, unassuming, candid man, complete with comedic tales where appropiate. Of interest to Doctor Who fans also is the home movie footage shot during the location shoot for The Abominable Snowmen. There is certainly something to be enjoyed here and whilst the interview might be somewhat dated it is still great viewing.
