A Review by Stuart Gutteridge 13/5/04
In many ways the man who played the Second Doctor, Patrick Troughton is something of an enigma; more often than not appearing in character duing interviews. This documentary from Reeltime actually debunks this myth to some degree thanks to an interview (which the documentary largely consists of) shot for American television during 1985. What we get is a glimpse of Patrick Troughton, the actor and his thoughts on the business. There is the odd Doctor Who recollection, largely from his later time on the show (he mentions both The War Games and The Mind Robber a lot) and he does come across as more at ease in the US.
Also featured is convention footage, which somewhat poignantly is the last time he appears in front of a camera before his death. The result being a watchable and ultimately more fitting tribute than the Myth Makers release.
