This latest documentary gives us a potted history of The Doctor`s second best friend K-9 (wonder who his best friend is then...). What it doesn`t do is give us anything new, stories about K-9 continually breaking down or John Leeson running around on his hands and knees have been told endlessly before. It`s interesting to see the available merchandise,and that there is still affection for it after 23 years. But perhaps best of all is the video footage made by the fans, which appeals to the child in me. And if some of the interviewees are to be believed we may be seeing K-9 sooner rather than later. One for completists really.
