A Review by Stuart Gutteridge 7/4/01

Part of Victoria`s charm and appeal is her seeming helplessness in certain situations. Part of this must be attributed to her upbringing. Living in a time where servants and maids were at the beck and call of anyone with "status", she can`t have expected to endure the death of her father by the Daleks on Skaro. Although in truth Victoria was probably tougher than she is credited; middle class Victorian women often had to live in unbearable conditions. So she had to adapt, and coupled with her travels in the TARDIS, Victoria was game for anything, although the terrors she faced were at least Earth based, which is probably just as well.

Victoria was close to both Jamie and The Doctor as well, percieving them as a surrogate family. In particular Jamie was very fond and protective of her. Credit must go to Deborah Watling as well, for making her so sympathetic.

GREATEST MOMENT: She got a measure of revenge in Fury From The Deep, but standing up to The Ice Warriors must have been something for her.
