It’s cold and rainy out, but yesterday was as beautiful a spring day as one could ask for. Much of my foliage was abloom, so I took photos (since I already had my camera out for my photo challenge – still taking requests!) Leo was playing around outside (on his leash) and so I got a couple of shots of him as well. You can see all of the flower photos in my Livejournal Photo Gallery, though I’ll show a few under LJ cuts below, along with the Leo pix. (See, new icon!)
Here is Leo, wandering around my chaise lounge. The purple thing is his leash. He thinks I’m strange to require a leash, but if it gets him outside, he’s all for it.
Leo giving me his usual “I own all this shit” look.
I’ve no idea what kind of tree these are from, but they’re awfully purty red flowers! And they’re in my backyard.
With weeds like these, who needs flowers? I never planted tulips, but I have a small patch of them that show up every spring. Works for me!
The tree in front of my house has very pretty white flowers in the spring. And then decides to drop its leaves after the first snow… Damn tree…
Please look at the other photos in my Flower Gallery (if you want) cuz they’re all pretty too! They’re especially nice to look at on drizzly, cold days like today.
Hey, that last one looks just like my plum tree! Except, your’s is probably bigger.
Heh – check out the gallery and you’ll see how much bigger! (I think it’s a bradford pear.) It’s way taller than my house. Its sibling fell down and smashed onto my roof over a year ago – joy joy.
Yeah, I saw. Does it ever fruit? Could just be missing a pollinator. OTOH, if it keeps losing its leaves…. Maybe just old? How did the sibling die? Good grief. My brain just went off on something completely irrelevant, didn’t it? Say, what do you think of this?: http://www.raintreenursery.com/catalog/productdetails.cfm?ProductID=C883G
For some reason i feel…under…Leo’s control………..
I get that feeling alot…
Flowers pretty! Snow cold! Snow coming to hurt pretty flowers! Oh no! (In case your forecast is different from mine, we’re supposed to get 5-9 inches of snow tomorrow.)
Rain for us tomorrow. But below freezing tomorrow night. My poor little window flowers! They’re just babies!!!!!!!!
The white one looks a lot like a flowering plum. What shape are the leaves on the pink one?
Aw, Leo is cute! And so calm about being on a leash – Plato is all for going outside once in a while, but he dislikes the idea of leashes intensely. I like the tulips too – they’re my favorite flower.
Can we have a picture of the front of your house?
