{"id":567,"date":"2005-12-19T21:14:00","date_gmt":"2005-12-20T03:14:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pagefillers.com\/blog\/2005\/12\/19\/a-tech-christmas-poem\/"},"modified":"2005-12-19T21:14:00","modified_gmt":"2005-12-20T03:14:00","slug":"a-tech-christmas-poem","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pagefillers.com\/blog\/2005\/12\/19\/a-tech-christmas-poem\/","title":{"rendered":"A Tech Christmas Poem"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tomorrow when my users check their e-mails, they&#8217;ll see this poem.<\/p>\n<p> A Poem for Christmas by Trina, aged 34<\/p>\n<p> &#8216;Twas the night before Christmas<br \/> And all through the school<br \/> Several computers were on<br \/> And that wasn&#8217;t cool.<\/p>\n<p> The computer techs were nestled<br \/> All snug in their beds<br \/> While visions of Open Source Software<br \/> Danced in their heads.<\/p>\n<p> When out in the night sky <br \/> There arose such a blast<br \/> &#8216;Twas thunder &#038; lightning<br \/> Neither of which were forecast<\/p>\n<p> The computers went down<br \/> The servers shut too<br \/> And several network hubs<br \/> All went &#8220;boo hoo!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p> Some computers when down<br \/> Will never wake up<br \/> And this costs us moolah<br \/> Which we never have enough*<\/p>\n<p> So the moral of this poem<br \/> If it isn&#8217;t obvious to you<br \/> Turn off your computers<br \/> Oh, and Merry Christmas, too!<\/p>\n<p> <font size=\"-2\">*Yeah yeah, not the world&#8217;s greatest rhyme.
